I'm supporting children and young people with disabilities in North Yorkshire
Ryedale Special Families is an independent charity based in Malton. Founded in the 1990s by a small group of parents with disabled children, it’s grown significantly over the past 25 years, and today, provides care and support for more than 400 families throughout the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire.
Providing a wide range of services including information, advocacy, flexible one-to-one care, social groups and family activities, it offers a vital support network to help families and young people with all kinds of disabilities. The charity depends heavily on fundraising to finance the work it does, and the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge is an important part of this picture. The loss of income from the cancellation of this year's Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge is a devastating blow to the charity and the families it supports and money raised from this Virtual 2020 event will make a huge difference to them.
2020 Challenge Completed!Saturday 1st Aug Definitely not the same as doing the challenge over the weekend with the wonderful support and camaraderie. Missed my sister cycling with me but we will be back in 2021, already signed up. Share
Here goes....Sunday 5th Jul Today, 5th July, we started the ride, not quite the same as cycling over the 2days, camping over night and having the wonderful support of all involved. First 14 miles clocked up, only 130 to go! Share
