I'm supporting children and young people with disabilities in North Yorkshire
Ryedale Special Families is an independent charity based in Malton. Founded in the 1990s by a small group of parents with disabled children, it’s grown significantly over the past 25 years, and today, provides care and support for more than 400 families throughout the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire.
Providing a wide range of services including information, advocacy, flexible one-to-one care, social groups and family activities, it offers a vital support network to help families and young people with all kinds of disabilities. The charity depends heavily on fundraising to finance the work it does, and the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge is an important part of this picture. The loss of income from the cancellation of this year's Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge is a devastating blow to the charity and the families it supports and money raised from this Virtual 2020 event will make a huge difference to them.
Almost there!Thursday 30th Jul I’m doing the Yorkshire Wilds Cycling Challenge, 144 miles, after too long off the bike! It’s helping me to get my cycling mojo back and get out there, and to raise money for special children. I’ve got just 24 miles to go, after getting out in the pouring rain on Monday 🚴🏻♀️🌨 and in evening sun on Tuesday 🌤.
